ProjectForum is a professional-grade, full-featured and secure workgroup Wiki server that makes it easy for a team of people to collaborate. It is entirely self-contained and hassle-free to install and use.
Pros: ProjectForum is a workgroup WiKi server software. This allows collaboration between team members in a distributed tea. The team may be distributed within a building, a building complex or all over the globe. This application lets team members share ideas, documents, schedules and status quite easily. Work can be discussed on-line privately and securely. This application can, by itself, provide these facilities without the need for databases, CGI scripts, web servers, configuration files and such other hassles of integration. With just their web browsers, the team can use ProjectForum to keep everyone up to date, and coordinate with ease from anywhere at anytime, all without a flurry of email messages, or expensive and time-consuming meetings and teleconferences.
ProjectForum is full featured and secure. Advanced features like attachments, multiple wikis, project areas, templates, branding, rich RSS support, and more are all standard. And a wide range of password authentication support, locking, tracking and version control features, plus SSL, let you create as secure and private a work area as you need.
There can be multiple project groups, each can support project planning, to do lists, design notes, task assignments, meeting notes, team discussions, research, collected feedback and brainstorming notes all at one place and visible to all the members. Several protections mechanisms are available to protect against intended or unintended damage to the contents.
Cons: Nothing particularly problematic noticed in the application.
Overall a 4 star application.
